1 Peter: Hope In The Midst Of Suffering
Beginning February 22 | 6 Session Zoom Series | Mondays, 7-8 p.m.
1 Peter is a letter from the Apostle Peter written to believers who were experiencing suffering for their faith. Peter exhorts the recipients of the letter to stand strong, repeatedly reminding them of Christ’s example, the riches of the inheritance they have in Him, and the hope of His returning them to His home in Heaven. Peter reminds us of the blessings we have as believers and then the responsibility we have as we follow our Savior. Sufferings are a part of life, how we respond to suffering and who we turn to in the midst of sufferings can affect our perspective and our hope. Peter wants to remind us to keep our eyes focused on Jesus and to remind us our sufferings our temporary in comparison with the blessings Jesus wants to give us in this life and the next as we keep our hope in Jesus.
