Welcome to Laurelwood. As you come and visit you will notice that we are a friendly and inviting group of folks that are like a large family; from babies to older adults and everyone in between. Our overall purpose is three fold; to love God, love people and make disciples. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word that helps us face all the opportunities and challenges that come our way.
Above all, we hope you experience God’s love when you come to Laurelwood. Come as you are and wear what you want; we have people of all ages from different walks of life. We’re all a little different and our stories are varied, but together we form a beautiful church body known as Laurelwood. And together we are seeking to become more fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope to see you soon!
New to Laurelwood
When you come on Sunday expect that you will be warmly welcomed, led to join us in engaging worship, and challenged by a solid and practical message from the Bible. Our church is outreach focused so on any given Sunday we may be commissioning people on short term teams, local projects or even baptizing new believers.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Our children’s ministry is both a safe and fun environment that allow parents to relax and kids to learn truths from God’s Word that fit their age and development. We also offer opportunities for our youth to gather, grow and serve, and there are various studies and activities for both young as well as older adults.
WELCOMING
We pray that God sends people just like you into our lives. And just as God has done with us, we seek to take people wherever they are in their walk with God. Often, we ask our members why they united with our church – and the most common answer is that we are “welcoming.” Walk through the church doors and see how many people smile and say hello.
TWO THIRDS OF GOD IS “GO”!
A priority of our church is our mission out into the world. We have plenty of opportunities for service that makes a difference. Such as Short Term Missions, Long term Missions, local outreach, Operation Christmas Child … there are many ways to be a “missionary” even from within your own home.
ENCOURAGING
We need each other in the church. We are convinced that everyone has a part to play in the Body of Christ. The encouragement of others in the church helps give us the courage to step out in faith. We don’t want you to run the race alone. We have many ministries available to walk along side you excited to give a helping hand, laugh with you and cry with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What time do services start?
Sunday morning Equipping Hour starts at 9:00 am followed by morning worship at 10:15 am.
What is the dress code?
We do not have a dress code; we want everyone to feel welcome regardless of what they have to wear.
What is the music like?
We have a contemporary style of worship, but we recognize that each person connects with God through different mediums. So while most Sundays you will see a full band leading with contemporary songs, there are times where we worship in silence, contemplation, quiet reflection or traditional hymns.
Do I have to give an offering?
No, not unless God has so impressed you. We believe that the church is supported by the tithes and offerings of its members. As a visitor, you are not expected to participate in giving.
Do you have activities for the whole family?
YES, there are activities for the entire family from birth to the most senior of our church family. Before the morning Worship time there are classes for all at 9am and during the worship service there are classes and care for children ages 0-5th grade.
Do you have a separate service for children?
Yes, we have a Kids Worship during regular Worship service and they are always welcome to stay and worship with their parents.
