LBC Young Adults
“Joining Young adults together to prepare them to face the world in fellowship with Christ”
Age group: 18-25 years old
At Young Adults, we strive to be intentional and authentic in our fellowship by sharing the highs and lows of our weeks with each other and choosing studies specific to the passions and desires of the group. We want to build each other up as we grow together in this strange but exciting transition from youth to adulthood. God intended for us to be in community with fellow believers, so we encourage any young adults looking for that to connect with us.
Group verse: “Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

The purpose of Men’s Ministry is to develop a thriving, inter-generational community of Christian men who, together, are resisting passivity, accepting responsibility, living courageously, and investing eternally.
(1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NASB)
We believe that this community reflects a lifestyle of worship – glorifying God in all we do. This community is accomplished through the components of leadership, discipleship, fellowship, service, and evangelism. We want to know God intimately, have the zeal to walk as Jesus walked, and to reach others for Christ.
Leadership is a learned skill. Pastor Mike teaches a Men’s Leadership Class from September – May on Sundays from 8-9 am. Classes are kept to around 15 men. This class will train you in leadership skills as you put them into practice. An investment today will yield rich blessings later. Join Pastor Mike as you become a “band of brothers” this year, alert to what is happening around us, growing in both faith and strength as we lead in love and truth.
Studying Your Bible Inductively
How do we go from just reading our Bible to knowing what it means and how we should respond? Inductive study gives us a process to go beyond our culture, preconceptions, prior teachings, and previous conclusions to knowing what God is saying to us right now as we study. The three elements of the process are:
- Observation – What does the scripture say?
- Interpretation – What does the scripture mean?
- Application – What do I do in response to the scripture?
COVID 19 Schedule

A group from church goes to Men’s Round Up, always returning home revived, inspired and challenged to be a better father, husband and Christian (Philippians 2:3 NASB).
We get together a group of men every year for a workday to help our widows, seniors, single moms and other church attenders with tasks that they need help with. We also help each year with the church picnic.
We try to have activities that are non-threatening where men can come and have a good time with other men. An annual golf tournament is usually held in July at one of our local courses. A retreat usually takes place in the fall, one year at the church and another year at the coast. Hiking, fishing, and camping are also just a few activities that can provide opportunities to share the gospel.
